2000 Ford F150 Door Locks Not Working

Most likely the door lock actuators have failed this is not uncommon for both to fail at the same time.

The power door locks dont work at all i have to use my key. This is due to the battery dieing. Is that the most logical thing or is there something else i can try first. Please email me with where you bought these parts and if this really works.

The electric part of the locks do not work. They do not respond to the remote. I just inherited my fathers 2000 ford f150. Step 1 change out the battery on the keyless entry remote control if the car is not responding to the buttons you press.

Its a real hassel. The lock actuators are not hard to replace they are inside the door. This happens with both doors and both buttons. When pushing either left or right door button there is a click in t read more.

Specifically when i press the button to unlock or lock the doors the locks don t respond either way. If this occurs you need to troubleshoot the power door locks and keyless entry remote on the ford vehicle. Checked the batteries in the key fobs checked the fuses checked the car battery. The automatic door locks do not work.
